ANGER MANAGEMENT: Know Your Role, Dwayne Jan 23 - 06:27 pm EST

Ever heard the saying, "Don't straddle the fence?" That cliche` fits in here more than ever.

With the news being reported by an article in "Variety" about The Rock being close to signing a deal with MGM to play the main part in an updated version of the 1973 movie "Walking Tall", it was mentioned that the movie will begin shooting in early-summer.

Vince McMahon announced at the WrestleMania XIX press conference that The Rock would be back for 'Mania.

According to Dave Scherer of 1Wrestling, The Rock has only agreed to work with WWE through Backlash in April 2003. Which means, if The Rock were to come back right now, he'd only be back for 3 months tops.

I've heard stories from indy workers across Georgia whom have ties to WWE that a lot of the wrestlers, most namely The Undertaker, have a big problem with The Rock juggling both a wrestling career and a movie career.

The Internet Wrestling Community really began to put the heat on Rock for leaving, coming back for one month, and then leaving again.

And now, the casual fans are starting to pick up the trend.

At WrestleMania X8, The Rock was almost booed out of the Skydome in favor for his opponent on that night, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, a heel.

At SummerSlam 2002, The Rock was very much so booed out of the Uniondale Coliseum while the crowd was rabidly behind Brock Lesnar, a heel.

According to a radio interview with Jerry "The King" Lawler, when The Rock made a surprise run-in at a RAW house show in Anaheim on January 7th to aid Booker T., a babyface, he was booed out of The Pond.

And of course, at the RAW X show at The World, the NYC crowd did all but put a knife in Rocky's back everytime his name was mentioned and during his interview. It should be noted that Rock's interview was garbage; incredibly awful. We're talking Rocky Maivia level here.

Now, it's not just an internet thing. It's not just a New York thing. It's not just a Canada thing.

It's an everybody thing.

The Rock is starting to gain himself some massive heat with all of his "Millions".

But the problem here is that Dwayne Johnson is getting the same heat from the same "Millions".

The Rock needs to pick a profession and stick to it.

Or, as Rocky would say, he needs to "Know his role" and make a choice.

If he keeps juggling things, "everyone" may include Hollywood as well.
