Dave Scherer notes that Vince McMahon appeared rundown backstage at RAW and Smackdown after his recent match with Zach Gowen and head injury.

Hulk Hogan called in to Bubba the Love Sponge's show this morning, and says a WWE return is up to Vince, and he plans to wrestle in Japan this fall. Jerry Lawler will debut for MLW in a match against Terry Funk on August 22. Bob Sapp's success in Japan was the focus of articles in the Mercury News and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

World-Wrestling.net interviewed Shark Boy about his partnership with New Jack, his time in WCW and HWA and Eric Bischoff's plans for a "Power Rangers" style show. 1wrestling has a transcript of part 2 of Joltin' Joe's interview with Jerry Lynn in which he plays name association and discusses his amazing moves. They also have a transcript of part 1 of his interview with Maven about winning Tough Enough, backstage friends and some of his favorite WWE moments.

The British Wrestling Channel is still working towards a launch, and currently has commitments from NWA TNA, CWZ, FWA, ROH, NJPW, NOAH, XPW, MLW and more, including several "classic" tape libraries. The Miami Herald continues their MLW lovefest, calling it the "new ECW" and saying it "truly fills the void ECW left when it went bankrupt." They also note that Jamal debuted for MLW as a member of the "Somoan Island Tribe." Force 1 Wrestling, a new promotion, will be starting September 7 in Ramsey, Minnesota with Jeff Jarrett vs. Lenny Lane.
