SLAM interviewed Vince McMahon, and in the interview, Vince said he doesn't read the internet or listen to critics, he wants to bury the hatchet with Bret Hart, and he believes Chris Benoit is "on the cusp of something big." At last night's Jersey All Pro Wrestling show, Al Snow captured the JAPW Championship, beating Danny Maff. The Kansas City Star has an article on Mick Foley and Tietam Brown. Bret Hart will do the voice of the Hooded Fang in YTV's new series "Jacob Two Two" debuting in September.

Chris Sabin, Tracy Smothers and Midnight Rider were interviewed by Wrestling News Live. Sabin discussed NWA TNA, the X Division, getting into wrestling, and wrestlers he'd like to work with. Midnight Rider discussed his feud with the Four Horsemen, while Smothers discussed his work in ECW, and then they both discussed the upcoming Superstars of Pro Wrestling show in Branson, MO.

Iowa's International Wrestling Institute and Museum presented Jesse Ventura with the Frank Gotch award for "bringing professional wrestling to a new level through his work as a politician." At the ceremony, Ventura said he may be interested in running for President, and that's the only office that would get him back into politics. Philip Brasor of the Japan Times says wrestler/lawmaker Atsushi Onita put his talents to good use defending Foreign and Defense Affairs Committee Chairman Ryuji Matsumura in last week's brawl within Japan's Upper House over a bill to send defense forces to Iraq. Wrestler Max Gold died at age 84 last week in Oakland, CA.
