Summerslam Results

  • Elimination Chamber/World Championship: Triple H over Bill Goldberg and Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton and Kevin Nash
  • Kane over Rob Van Dam
  • WWE Championship: Kurt Angle over Brock Lesnar
  • Fatal Fourway/United States Championship: Eddy Guerrero over Chris Benoit and Rhyno and Tajiri
  • Shane McMahon over Eric Bischoff
  • Undertaker over A-Train
  • World Tag Team Championship: La Resistance over Dudley Boys
  • Heat: Rey Mysterio Jr. over Shannon Moore
  • Heat: Matt Hardy over Zach Gowen (forfeit)

I only went 3-4 in my predictions, getting Angle, Shane and Undertaker right. RAW is live from Tucson, AZ tomorrow night, and the Smackdown crew is off until Tuesday in El Paso, TX. Zach Gowen is selling his broken leg (broken in two places!) so well that he's not even in Phoenix for Summerslam. Instead, Gowen was spotted at the JCW J Cup event in Garfield, NJ. Jaime won WWE's Diva Search contest late last night/early this morning. I saw most of the webcast, and it was pretty entertaining due to many of the wrestlers being drunk. I think the uncensored/unscripted aspect of the webcast also allowed the wrestlers to express themselves as they desired, resulting in comments that you would never hear on TV. The judges' scoring was tied, so they went to the internet poll to determine Jaime as the winner. Jaime won a photo shoot, and Confidential coverage of it, so look for that in the near future.

Brian Lawler has hinted at a Too Cool reunion at Friday's Memphis, TN WWE house show, although there are currently no plans for one. Shawn Stasiak (the real one) did an interview with Get In The Ring radio discussing his time in WWE, NWA TNA, his new career, and the possibility of a future WWE return. SLAM has a review of yesterday's Fan Slam convention including comments from people involved and fans in attendance. Bill Gallo of the New York Daily News looks at Mike Tyson's career change and his feud with Bob Sapp, and compares it to other boxing/wrestling crossovers like Ali/Inoki and Wepner/Andre The Giant back in the 1970's.

Korrosive wrote up a Summerslam preview earlier this afternoon with his predictions. That's it for today. Thanks for reading.
