RAW scored a 4.2 rating (4.0/4.4/4.9 overrun) up from last week's 4.0. There are off air notes and Heat spoilers from last night's RAW in Tucson, AZ. Smackdown is being taped in El Paso, TX tonight (MDT), so spoilers should be out a little late. Smackdown will be pre-empted in a bunch of cities including New York City, Philadelphia, Dallas, Detroit and Baltimore.

Triple H discussed working the Elimination Chamber with a groin injury as well as the long healing time such an injury takes. Kurt Angle called his Summerslam match with Brock Lesnar one of his best, and notes this puts he and Lesnar at 1-1 in singles matches. Goldberg caught Macworld's attention as he was seen using an iPod mp3 player while training.

The Arizona Daily Wildcat interviewed Rico about wrestlers as athletes and injuries in wrestling. The El Paso Times spoke to Eddy Guerrero about overcoming past troubles to make his WWE comeback. WWE Diva Contest winner Jaime Koeppe has her own website with pictures and information about her.

Early estimates indicate Summerslam PPV buys were down about 30% from last year. WWE held their investors conference call this morning, and Linda McMahon answered questions about plans for their tape library, WWE Films, and the closing of The World. Sentencing is scheduled for Kenton Jenkins, who was charged with stealing $500,000 from The World last year while serving as General Manager.

The Voice of Wrestling had Sid as a guest and he discussed his injury status, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar, and backstage politics. Voice of Wrestling also interviewed Jonah from Tough Enough about the future of the show, and Triple H losing the title to Goldberg. Tough Enough Hawk was a contestant on "Meet My Folks".

Mike Tyson signed a deal worth nearly $4 million to work with K-1, with details of a Tyson-Sapp match still in discussion. MLW will hold a J-Cup USA tournament at their September 19 show in Ft. Lauderdale, FL crowning their first Jr. Heavyweight Champion.

TNA has issued a preview for tomorrow's PPV with AJ Styles vs. Raven for the NWA Title, Dusty Rhodes vs. Glenn Gilberti in a bullrope match, America's Most Wanted vs. Simon/Diamon/Johnny Swinger for the NWA Tag Team Titles, Michael Shane vs. Jerry Lynn for the X Title, D'Lo Brown vs. Sonny Siaki, Sandman vs. Abyss, and 3 Live Krew vs. Shane Douglas/New Church.

The Village Voice has a review of backyard wrestling documentary "The Backyard" which opens in New York City on August 29. SLAM has Jim Connolly's report on his family's trip to the Fan Slam Convention this past weekend.
