Smackdown scored a 2.6 (5 Share) last night, mostly down (3.3 last week) due to many preemptions and the MTV Video Music Awards. UPN was in fifth place in the overnights for the 8pm hour, but moved up to fourth place at 9pm. The RAW crew has a house show in Memphis, TN tonight. Tomorrow, the RAW crew is in Hattiesburg, MS and the Smackdown crew is in Boston, MA. HHH is working this weekend's house shows in tag matches allowing him to protect himself while he continues healing.

WWE issued their quarterly report with a breakdown of home some of their areas of business are doing since last year (most are down). WWE.com spoke to Eddy Guerrero and his family about his El Paso, TX Smackdown homecoming, the long recovery he made after nearly dying in a car accident in 1999 and his struggle with with drug and alcohol addiction. Chavo Guerrero Jr. told WWE.com he's ready to return as his torn left bicep is now fully healed, and he's just waiting for the right time to come back. WWE.com interviewed the WWE's newest announcer Rue (on After Burn) about how she got the job, and some of her entertainment background.

Stacy Keibler is scheduled for tonight's Tom Green Show. Bradshaw will be a guest on FOX News' "Bulls and Bears" stock market show tomorrow morning at 10am EDT. Mick Foley did a book signing and reading in Madison, CT with a large turnout. Smackdown superstars have decided to do their own military family charity work with poster signings scheduled for New Orleans, LA on September 2 and Philadelphia, PA on September 23. The RAW superstars also have a poster signing September 29 in Chicago, IL.

Steve Corino will likely need surgery if he wants to regain any hearing lost in his left ear in a match against Homicide at Ring of Honor's August 16 show. Surgery for his eardrum would require three months recovery and prohibit flying to Japan where he has booking duties with Zero-One. Terry Funk will make his Ring of Honor debut at Glory by Honor II on September 20 in Philadelphia, PA in a match against CM Punk. There are results from Sunday's Ballpark Brawl in Buffalo, NY featuring a number of NWA TNA stars.

Kent Walton, the voice of wrestling in the UK for three decades, passed away at age 86 on Sunday from cancer. Some Illinois state legislators are working on a law that would require disclaimers before wrestling events and television shows warning kids not to attempt the moves they see. Mark "Henry Godwin" Canterbury's 17 year old 6'8" 355 pound son Shane Caterbury is making a name for himself on the high school football field.
