Last week's RAW finished #2 and #5 in the cable ratings, with the MTV VMA's at #1, the VMA post show at #3, and an episode of Homicide at #4. The RAW crew is in Tallahassee, FL tomorrow night. Ads in the Baltimore, MD area are promoting Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker for the October PPV, No Mercy. TSN's Off the Record website has added the February 1998 Vince McMahon interview in which he addresses the Bret Hart/Montreal situation.

NWA TNA has announced the matches for next week's DirecTV ($9.95) PPV. Sting may return to NWA TNA on September 17 to face AJ Styles. Also, TNA has more wrestler question and answers, this week from America's Most Wanted, Sonny Siaki, BG James, Chris Sabin, and Trinity.

In an interview with Get in the Ring, New Jack had less than positive things to say about Blue Meanie, WWE, the Dudley Boys, Jeff Jarrett and much more. A proposed ordinance in Dover, Delaware to outlaw "extreme fighting" matches has left some wrestling promoters confused as to the future legality of their promotions. The ordinance would ban events with "prearranged" results, although city officials say that's not meant to include professional wrestling promoted by companies like WWE.

Randy Savage discussed his new CD with MTV, including his tribute to Mr. Perfect, and his challenge for Hulk Hogan. "An Evening With Johnny Valiant" is opening an off Broadway run tomorrow. Wizard magazine reports that Joanie Laurer has a role in a short film as a bully challenged by a double amputee to a fight.
