No Mercy, Nash, Rock, Styles, TNA Sep 05 - 11:46 pm EDT

Daily Rapp Up by Bryan Rapp

The RAW crew is in Tallahassee, FL tonight, and tomorrow they're in Savannah, GA. Although it's not yet listed on WWE.com, tickets for No Mercy go on sale tomorrow morning.

Smackdown scored a 3.5 rating (6 Share), which is way up from last week's 2.6 (due to preemptions and the MTV VMA's). Smackdown pushed UPN to fourth place in the overnight ratings between 8-10pm. The Canadian version of Smackdown on The Score edited the Brock Lesnar/Zach Gowen angle. Tomorrow night's Confidential will focus on "Superstar" Billy Graham, plus Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series 97, Outside the Ropes with Al Snow, Ivory's participation in the Young Storytellers program, Dawn Marie's photoshoot for RAW Magazine, and Jaime Koeppe, the 2003 Diva Search winner.

Jim Ross vs. Coach may become a tag match at Unforgiven with Lawler and Snow added. Kevin Nash called into Bubba the Love Sponge's show this morning and says he's almost done filming his part in "The Punisher" and he wants to continue his feud with Chris Jericho when he returns to WWE. The Rock and Seann William Scott will throw out the first pitch before Monday's A's and Angel's game at Network Associates Coliseum as part of promotion for "The Rundown." IGN has another Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain article, this one attempting to settle rumors and answer lingering questions about the game.

The New York Daily News has a piece on Indian strongman Manoj Chopra and his entry into UPW for training. Dustin "Screech" Diamond is scheduled to appear at tonight's Border City Wrestling show.

Xtreme Mayhem interviewed the Iron Shiek about winning a gold medal in the Olympics (although, that's not actually true), winning the WWF title, Angle, and Hogan. Alex Marvez interviewed Joey Styles about wrestling announcing, MLW, ECW and WWE.

NWA TNA will be running local ads during RAW in many markets for their one-cent PPV. Jeremy Borash posted his latest Notes from the Inside column. He thinks Wednesday's show was great and it produced no major injuries. He hopes the Super X Tournament is offered on DVD in the near future, and thinks it could become an annual event. Some wrestlers are already volunteering for a future Ultimate X match. Borash previews the two PPVs for Wednesday night depending on your PPV provider, and says they'll have a huge lineup for September 17. Not only is TNA advertising during WWE events, but WWE has advertised during Nashville's Xplosion airing. Xplosion will likely air in Minneapolis soon, and some TNA wrestlers will be there Sunday night for a Force 1 Wrestling show. 3 Live Kru was in the studio last week working on their theme song, America's Most Wanted will do TNA promotion in Philadelphia this week and Ron Killings will co-host the "Budweiser Lounge" on Charlotte's 106.5 "The End."

That's it for today. Thanks for reading.
