Matt Hardy's latest Mattitude update covers getting older, his concussion, Lita's return, Eddy Guerrero, and computer crashes. Goldberg reportedly had a verbal altercation with a number of fans after Monday's RAW about NWA TNA. IGN has a review of Wrestlemania XIX for Gamecube and gives it an 8 out of 10.
WWE made a donation to the Katie McCloskey Memorial Scholarship Fund. McCloskey worked in the World Trade Center and was killed on 9/11, but at one time she worked for the WWF New York restaurant. WWE's recent Asian tour generated $3 million in ticket sales and suggests American wrestling is growing in popularity in Asia. Vince McMahon's alma mater East Carolina University will host their first WWE event Monday with a Smackdown house show.
Mick Foley is scheduled for the Jimmy Kimmel show on September 17 to promote Tietam Brown, and his former tag team partner The Rock is scheduled for Conan O'Brien on September 26 to promote The Rundown. Bradshaw will make another appearance on FOX News on Saturday morning to discuss stocks. Steve Austin will be doing book signings in November.
Hulk Hogan is close to signing for a match with Masahiro Chono at the Tokyo Dome on October 13. Tony "Ludvig Borga" Halme has returned to work at the Finnish Parliament after being found unconscious at his home in July and hospitalized.
America's Most Wanted went on a media tour to Philadelphia to promote the one-cent PPV. Some Cox Cable subscribers were told they'd have to pay full price for the one-cent PPV. NWA TNA announced Roddy Pipers return for next week, as well as Shane Douglas vs. Raven in a hair vs. hair match.
Jerry Lynn told SLAM he's happy to be working in NWA TNA and also discussed the problems he had in WWE. Michael Shane was the guest on the Interactive Interview, and he discussed his relationship with Shawn Michaels, WWE contracts, and plans for NWA TNA. Christopher Daniels was the guest on wrestleBREAKdown and discussed his feud with Jeff Jarrett, his wrestling watching habits, and NWA TNA's future.
Wrestling documentary "The Backyard" will be a part of Seattle's Little Theatre's Wrestlezania! series, which also includes No Holds Barred, Gaea Girls, and two documentaries about Freddie Blassie. MLW will debut a six sided cage at their November event. The New England Wrestling Alliance will be holding a show to benefit the Benedetti Cancer Fund on Saturday in Braintree, MA.
