Despite airing on Christmas, Smackdown was still the highest rated show on UPN last week, placing at #76 overall. Smackdown is being taped in Laredo, TX tonight.

There are off air notes and Heat spoilers from RAW last night, as well as a few backstage notes on the mood backstage, Foley's angle, and Shawn Michaels. The Torch has additional information on some of the backstage/creative aspects involving Foley, Michaels and Triple H. Next week's RAW on TSN in the Toronto, ON area will be delayed until 10pm EST due to hockey.

Triple H has been removed from this weekend's house shows, with Chris Jericho replacing him to face Kane. Dave Scherer has an update on Kevin Nash's contract status, and it looks like if he does continue to work for WWE, it won't be as a wrestler.

WWE.com has an interview with Chris Jericho on Christmas, the Highlight Reel, retirement, and singing. This week's WWE True or False puts John Cena up against Billy Gunn on topics including Nathan Jones quitting, DX vs. Evolution, and Saddam Hussein.

Tomorrow night's NWA TNA show is a Best of 2003 broadcast. There are results from NWA Mid-Atlantic Champion Wrestling's first event in China, which is also the first American pro wrestling event there ever, and the first wrestling event since a New Japan Pro Wrestling show in 1991.

Ted DiBiase discussed some of his WWE memories, including his meeting with a young Rob Van Dam, at the recent Fan Slam Convention. Eric Gargiulo interviewed Steve Blackman last week about neck surgery, WWE's current product, Head Cheese, and his time in WWE. The New York Press's page two paid tribute to several wrestlers who died in 2003. The Smoking Gun has a mug shot of Andre the Giant from an arrest in 1989 for allegedly assaulting a TV cameraman.

The Athens News has an article on Amesville Backyard Wrestling, as well as the warnings groups like WWE put out against backyard wrestling. Soldier Stephanie Bender discussed returning from Iraq for the holidays and one of her favorite memories there, meeting Steve Austin and other WWE superstars. Wrestler Christopher "The Skunk" Antal's run for mayor of Marlborough, MA was the #1 weird and wacky news item for Peter Reuell of the Milford Daily News.
