Last week's two hours of RAW finished #5 and #7 in the cable ratings, behind several bowl games. Dave Scherer has notes on Undertaker's return and the gimmick he's likely to use. Maven will return to the road on January 16.

The RAW crew is in Oshawa, ON tomorrow night. WWE will return to Cadillac's Wexford County Civic Center for a Smackdown house show on Sunday for the first time in nine years. On today's Byte This, Lance Storm mentioned that Backlash would take place in Alberta, and Coach specified it would be in Edmonton, with RAW the next night in Calgary.

WWE provided some preview links for tracks from Chris Jericho, Lillian Garcia and Rey Mysterio Jr. from the WWE Originals CD. VideoDetective.com has a video trailer of WWE's upcoming Monday Night War DVD. The Rock will appear on the Ryan Seacrest show on Monday. A Washington Post story on the Bush daughters yesterday made mention of one incident were Barbara escaped her secret service agents to attend a WWE match in Manhattan with friends.

NWA TNA posted photos from last night's show including the Ultimate X2 match, as well as some backstage photos. There are also Xplosion spoilers from the show. Next week's NWA TNA PPV will feature AJ Styles/Erik Watts vs. Jeff Jarrett/Abyss, America's Most Wanted vs. Red Shirt Security, Simon Diamond vs. David Young with referee Glenn Gilberti, plus James Mitchell, X Champion Chris Sabin, and more.

Former Governor Jesse Ventura has agreed to be a visiting fellow this spring at Harvard University, with his exact role to be determined soon. In a statement on his website, Kevin Nash acknowledged his WWE contract expiration on December 31, as well as the reason he didn't seek a creative role in the company. Steve Corino was the guest on Between The Ropes, and discussed MLW's upcoming shows in Florida, the Ric Flair DVD, and World-One.

MLW is offering discounted student admissions to their Florida shows this weekend, with Low Ki vs. Homicide tomorrow, and Terry Funk vs. Steve Corino on Saturday. OVW's first TV taping of the year included a match for their vacant OVW Heavyweight Championship title. Al Snow will return to the ring for the Millenium Wrestling Federation on Saturday against a mystery opponent. 3PW's Royal Rumble eve show will feature Al Snow vs. Sabu, and Raven vs. Sandman in a TLC Match.

New York's Metro channel will not air wrestling until February due to college sports coverage. SLAM's Jason Clevett took a look at Western Canadian wrestling in 2003. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer has an article on PBA bowler Pete Weber whose wrestling inspired behavior once got him in trouble, but now earns him fans and attention.
