For those in the Washington, DC area, who like me had Smackdown pre-empted, UPN 20 has it scheduled for Sunday night at 9pm. The RAW crew starts their tour tomorrow night with a house show in Des Moines, IA. WWE moved their February 15 RAW house from San Bernardino, CA to Denver, CO.

Last week's two hours of RAW finished #4 and #7, behind Fairly Odd Parents and SpongeBob SquarePants. WWE is using trash cans in Times Square to promote Wrestlemania with ads plastered on many of them. WWE moved the site of their February 4 announcement in Edmonton (about Backlash) from the Rexall Center to the adjacent Northlands AgriCom.

UK's Telegraph has an interview with The Rock about his Hollywood success, and some of the differences and similarities between wrestling and acting. Steve Austin will take part in a Sun Online webchat next week and fans are invited to email in questions. I heard Mick Foley call into a Washington, DC radio station this afternoon as part of a contest to have the most famous person call in. He was on for about 60 seconds and briefly discussed his angle with Randy Orton.

Dave Scherer answered questions asked by Al Snow last night on "Pro Wrestling Insider" about why he dislikes Coach's announcing. WWE published the lyrics of Booker T's song on Originals.

NWA TNA issued a press release promoting their signing of Jon "Jonny Fairplay" Dalton, as they hope his Survivor notoriety will bring more attention to their promotion. Next week's TNA PPV will also feature Jeff Jarrett vs. the Juggernaut El Leon, America's Most Wanted vs. Redshirt Security, Sandman/Balls Mahoney vs. the Gathering, Simon Diamond/Johnny Swinger vs. Glenn Gilberti/David Young, and Elix Skipper/Christopher Daniels vs. Shane Douglas. NWA TNA will host the America's X Cup on February with 4 wrestlers from TNA and 4 wrestlers from AAA.

Ricky Steamboat was the guest on Between the Ropes to discuss his career, retirement, and his upcoming appearance at the Mid-Atlantic Legends Convention. The Norwood, MA Lions Club is sponsoring a night of professional wrestling on Friday to benefit the fire department and Civic Center, with appearances by Tough Enough's Jonah Adelman and at least one WWE wrestler.
