Smackdown scored a 3.4 rating (5 Share) down from last week's 3.6 (5 Share). UPN remained in fourth place for night, ahead of FOX and WB. The RAW crew is in Des Moines, IA tonight, and in Madison, WI tomorrow night. The Wisconsin State Journal has an interview with Lita to promote tomorrow's house show about their audience, appearing in Playboy, and the name Lita. WWE has put together hospitality packages for their March tour of the UK.

Steve Austin and Christian were the guests on Byte This yesterday. Austin discussed being the sheriff, beer, the Rumble, and John Cena. Christian talked about Wrestlemania, Edge, Chris Benoit and the Unprettier. Torrie Wilson will be on Much on Demand on Canada's MuchMusic network on January 26 at 5pm EST. Last night's Smackdown in Canada officially announced Backlash for Edmonton, AB.

Ads scheduled for upcoming issues of Variety and the Hollywood Reporter refer to Wrestlemania as "The Original Lord of the Ring," and the Hollywood Reporter will run a special Wrestlemania section on March 9. WWE issued a preliminary card for February's No Way Out. WWE has a job listing for "professional wrestler" on TeamworkOnline, a sports job site.

The San Francisco Chronicle has a small mention of Rock turning down Dunkin' Donuts offer to name a doughnut after him because of his fondness for them, which I believe is from his Monday appearance on the Ryan Seacrest show. The Dolphin News has another article on Goldberg's visit to the USS Kitty Hawk when he was in Japan over New Year's. The wedding chapel Britney Spears was recently married at may have been the same one used by Triple H and Stephanie for their 1999 "Las Vegas wedding".

SLAM has an article on The Missing Link's new shoot interview DVD from Highspots, as well as the shoot interview process in general. Booker George Scott has been added to the Mid-Atlantic Legends Convention, and in a radio interview, Ric Flair addressed the convention saying it was a good idea, but he can't attend due to family and WWE committments.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's second book, co-authored with Steve Anderson, Chair Shots & Other Obstacles: Winning Life's Wrestling Matches, with a foreword by Ric Flair, will be available in March. In a radio interview on Magic 105 KMJX in Little Rock, AR, Jimmy Hart said he and Hulk Hogan were looking to start up a wrestling promotion based out of Universal Studios in Florida. The Seattle Times has an article on David Smith-Larsen, a British professional wrestler who worked in Europe and India in the 1960's and 70's, and even helped trained Andre the Giant, before he switched careers to opera performer.
