The RAW crew was in Milwaukee, WI last night with Shawn Michaels over Randy Orton via DQ. The Smackdown crew is in Duluth, MN tonight with Big Show over Chris Benoit. Tomorrow night, they tape Smackdown in Minneapolis, MN.

Rolling Stone gives WWE Originals 1 star and says it may be the worst album of 2004. WWE management is reportedly happy wrestlers are listening and slowing down their matches, and now wants them to obey the referees more in the ring. WWE is sending some infrequently used wrestlers to OVW to help with training and pick up some themselves. Maven will likely miss 4 to 6 weeks due to an elbow injury, but he'll get a second opinion tomorrow and hopes to return in time for Wrestlemania XX.

Following news of their acquisition of the Royal Rumble, Setanta Media has picked up the rights to broadcast WWE PPV's in the UK and Ireland for the next year. MLW has reached a deal to air weekly on the UK's Wrestling Channel once it's launched. Sunshine Network is adding to their wrestling line-up with a Friday night wrestling block including NWA TNA's Xplosion (debuting February 6), IWA Puerto Rico, and MLW Underground.

Get In The Ring radio interviewed Jacques Rougeau, and he told quite a story about backstage problems with Dynamite Kid. Sonjay Dutt was the guest on the Interactive Interview and discussed his childhood, CZW, MLW, TNA and Randy Savage's rap CD.

WORLD-1 moved their February 7 show from Deer Park, NY to the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA after issues with the New York State Athletic Commission. The event will now take place at 4pm, prior to CZW's fifth anniversary show, and they've added Spanky to the card. All Japan is putting on a Bob Sapp vs. Jamal match on February 22. SLAM has an article on the Internet Wrestling Syndicate promotion which it says is on its way to becoming Quebec's version of ECW.

Kevin Nash may be asking for $7500 a week to appear in NWA TNA with Scott Hall. Hulk Hogan is scheduled for Thursday night's Jimmy Kimmel show.

SLAM has a review of Jeff Walton's new book Richmond 9-5171, A Wrestling Story about the Los Angeles area wrestling scene in the 1960's and 1970's. 1wrestling.com announced that Bob Ryder is selling controlling interest in the site to partner Joey Styles effective February 1.
