Carolina Panther's defensive end Mike Rucker says even as him team is headed to the Super Bowl, Ric Flair is still the most popular athlete in Charlotte area. The commentary section of Randy Orton's website has mysteriously vanished after his last commentary exposed the business. If you missed it, Google still has a cached copy. The Washington Post made brief mention of WWE's stop in DC yesterday, with Bradshaw saying they were going to challenge Howard Dean to a match until they heard him cut a promo.

WFAN has the audio version of Bob Costas' story about running into Vince McMahon at a Florida restaurant. The first night of USA's Traffic mini-series had only limited success as it was beaten in the ratings by RAW.

The Tennessean covered Brian Urlacher's NWA TNA appearance tonight as well as Jonny Fairplay's debut last week. Brian Urlacher's appearance also made the FOX 32's 9 pm news in Chicago, IL, but the story didn't make mention of Jonnny Fairplay. NWA TNA wanted Frankie Kazarian to work the America's X Cup tournment, but he had to decline due to Japanese commitments.

Don "Hard Boiled" Haggerty, 1950's and 1960's professional wrestler and actor, passed away last night in Malibu, CA at age 78. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall will wrestle Tom Howard and a mystery partner at UPW's 5th anniversary show in Anaheim, CA with Evan "Joe Millionaire" Marriott as the guest referee.

MLW announced additional matches for their TV tapings on February 13-14 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Orlando, FL. On March 13, Ring of Honor will present a lifetime achievement award to Roddy Piper as well as host a Q&A session with him beforehand. Friday's Ring of Honor show in Glen Burnie MD which feature Jim Cornette managing Jay and Mark Briscoe against ROH Champ Samoa Joe and Jerry Lynn. The Torch's Derek Burgan reviewed Ring of Honor's "Death Before Dishonor" and says it's the "greatest all around wrestling show" he's ever seen.
