The Smackdown crew was in Pittsburg, PA last night with Rey Mysterio Jr. over Chavo Guerrero. Tonight the Smackdown crew was in Toledo, OH, and tomorrow night they tape Smackdown in Cleveland, OH. The RAW crew was in Youngstown, OH last night with Randy Orton over Rob Van Dam. The girl Goldberg hugged at ringside on RAW was an extreme eczema sufferer he's appeared with on the Maury Povich show, as he's her hero. The Rock was spotted around the Super Bowl parties mingling with Cedric the Entertainer, as well as on MTV's Super Bowl edition of TRL. Dave Scherer has all the latest gossip on Triple H and Shawn Michaels including possible plans for Wrestlemania.

WWE.com acknowledged Jack Tunney's death with an article on his lengthy WWE career and comments from several WWE employees who worked with him. WWE.com has an update on Christopher Nowinski in which he says he's improving, but still uncertain of when he'll be able to return to the ring. John Cena is scheduled to have an MRI to check the condition of his knee, which continues to cause him pain. John Cena was in attendance Sunday at the Boston, MA area MetroConcepts MC battle in which 16 rappers fought for a $5000 prize.

John Cena's new DVD John Cena: Wordlife (or Worldlife if you're Amazon) will be released on March 2. Steve Austin's UPN special The Stone Cold Truth will be released on DVD on February 10 (PWInsider has a list of easter eggs). The Monday Night War DVD will be released tomorrow.

WWE Smackdown Your Vote! and several of their partners released a Voter Issues Paper for 18-30 year-old voters today at the National Press Club. A VIP based questionnaire was mailed to the Presidential candidates but thus far only Dennis Kucinich has replied. You can download a copy of the VIP (PDF) or register to receive one.

Indian apparel brand Weekender is expected to sign a licensing and marketing deal with WWE, which would bring WWE shirts and other merchandise to the Indian market. Four years ago today, Vince McMahon announced the XFL, and three years ago, they played their first games. If you like obscure wrestling references, ER is using Steve Blackman's old WWE theme for their current commercial.

The Chicago Sun-Times' Richard Roeper addressed the Brian Urlacher in TNA controversy from a different perspective, as he dislikes the fact it was a "low-rent" event, and not something big like Wrestlemania. NWA TNA is teaming with Pacific Trading Cards to release an official line of TNA trading cards. MLW issued a press release stating that Terry Funk will make a major announcement at their February 14 event in Orlando, FL, now entitled "A Funkin' Farewell."

Mike Johnson attended the Mid-Atlantic Legends Convention, as did SLAM's Chris Schramm, and both shared their thoughts on the event. Arn Anderson appeared at the convention, and still managed to make it to Pittsburgh, PA to work as a road agent last night. Buddy Landel is disputing reports that he was involved in a hotel altercation that led to his arrest while at the convention, although he admits going to the convention to confront Arn Anderson about his book and that he did "exchange words" with a man who pulled a knife on him.

Scott Williams talked to Larry Matysik about St. Louis wrestling, booking, and Vince McMahon Sr.'s possible plans for national expansion. SLAM's Jon Waldman spoke to R.D. Reynolds, the author of WrestleCrap the book, about the work that went into the project and the differences between it and the website.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson has lots of news on Japan including Spanky's return to ZERO-ONE, Kevin Nash rumors, and the status of many New Japan Pro Wrestlingcontract negotiations. Mike Johnson also notes that AJ Styles will return to ZERO-ONE on February 29, and has the update ZERO-ONE USA cards for this weekend. PWInsider's launch was mentioned in the Los Angeles Times.
