WWE issued a press release for tomorrow night's Smackdown. Vince McMahon was busy making media appearances to promote tomorrow night's Smackdown from Iraq, with another stop on Fox News this morning as well as MSNBC a short time later. WWE is running an ad thanking the troops in tomorrow's New York Times. Air Force Link ran a brief story on WWE's trip to Iraq.

WWE.com posted an update on Dr. Death Steve Williams as he battles cancer and prepares for the holidays. Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera's website updated his injury status noting that he may be able to avoid surgery for a herniated disc with the proper rehab and that he should be able to return to the ring from his groin injury by January 13. Ricky Steamboat will finish with Ring of Honor on Sunday due to his new position with WWE and the scheduling conflicts it would create. WWE signed female indy wrestler Angel Williams to a developmental deal.

Rise and Fall of ECW moved up to #3 in WWE's overall sales chart this week with 58,492 copies sold thus far. Steve Austin, Bill Goldberg and Bob Sapp appear in the "Longest Yard" trailer. The National Wrestling Coaches Association is letting fans vote for their NCAA 75th Anniversary Team with Kurt Angle and Dan Hodge among the options.

TNA's President Dixie Carter issued a message to TNA fans about plans for 2005. There are additional TNA Impact spoilers from last night's taping in Orlando, FL. TNA's March PPV "Against All Odds" may be held outside of Orlando, FL, possibly in Pittsburgh, PA with Shane Douglas helping with local promotion.

Ring of Honor's third anniversary will happen over three shows, starting on February 19 in Elizabeth, NJ, and continuing through February 25 in Dayton, OH and February 26 in Chicago Ridge, IL. The UK's The Wrestling Channel is now selling tickets for their International Showdown on March 19 at the Coventry Sky Dome with Mick Foley, Raven, AJ Styles, and Petey Williams on the card. Mick Foley and Sabu are scheduled to appear at Douglas Chevalier Memorial Show presented by Border City Wrestling on January 21 in Windsor, ON. SLAM's Bob Kapur reviewed Jimmy Hart's autobiography and calls it "a fresh look at one of the sport's true modern legends" and "an easy, entertaining read." The Chicago Tribune has an article on women filmmakers like Ruth Leitman who recently made "Lipstick & Dynamite, Piss & Vinegar: The First Ladies of Wrestling."
