The Derrick has an article on Kurt Angle's naming the NCAA 75th anniversary wrestling team with comments from Angle about the difference between Angle the amateur wrestler and Angle the professional wrestling character. NCAA Sports interviewed Bob Backlund about his collegiate wrestling career with mention of how it translated later into his professional wrestling career and his current thoughts on the business. Akebono scored his first MMA win beating K-1 promoter Nobuaki Kakuda by decision.

Chris Jericho, Bob Orton Jr., and Trish Stratus were the guests on this week's Byte This with Jericho discussing Wrestlemania, Fozzy and XM, Orton talking about the Hall of Fame, the superplex, and his cast, and Stratus on Canada, Christy, and Christian. Voice of Wrestling interviewed Jerry Lawler about Wrestlemania, the Hall of Fame, the robbery plot against him, divas and more. Rob Van Dam has been added to the Chiller Theatre guest list scheduled for April 29 - May 1 in East Rutherford, NJ. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) likes the Rock's performance as a gay man in Be Cool. Be Cool was forecasted to finish at #7 this weekend with a $5.1 million gross.

Johnny Devine discussed his major knee surgery in his latest column as well as the problems wrestlers face when they suffer a major injury. Jerry Lynn and Kid Kash have been added to Shane Douglas' Hardcore Homecoming show on June 10 in Philadelphia, PA. Don West's Nashville, TN radio show will be moving to the noon to 3pm timeslot.

There are early results from The Wrestling Channel's International Showdown tonight in Coventry, England. Several of the wrestlers at the show took part in a Q&A session earlier in the day with Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, CM Punk, Christopher Daniels and more. Big Time Wrestling was in Newark, CA yesterday with Billy Gunn over Jason Styles. 3PW was in Philadelphia, PA tonight with Slyck Wagner Brown over Roadkill.

Lekisha Oliver interviewed Nattie Neidhart about herself, her wrestling family, women's wrestling and more. The second Legends of the Ring convention was in East Brunswick, NJ today with Koko B. Ware, Marty Jannetty, Jake Roberts, and Tito Santana and King Kong Bundy as surprise guests. Baseball's David Wells suggested Congress should probe professional wrestling over the use of steroids rather than his sport.
