There are Smackdown spoilers from last night's taping in Chicago, IL. Vince McMahon was reportedly moving around very well at TV this week as he continues his quad injury recovery. Ted DiBiase began his job as a consultant and road agent for Smackdown at last night's tapings. Smackdown will be pre-empted in Washington, DC tomorrow night, airing on Sunday at 6pm instead.

WWE will be taping RAW and Smackdown in Japan on July 1 and 2. RAW and Smackdown are now airing on the Armed Forces Network within 24 hours of their initial US broadcast. WWE is advertising Batista/Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H/Ric Flair as a dark match to follow next week's RAW in Scranton, PA. Canada's The Score reported continued growth in operating profit and noted lower program rights fees for WWE programming.

Triple H injured his neck at Monday's RAW during his handicap match and collapsed backstage after the show's final angle. Stephanie McMahon didn't visit OVW today with other members of the creative team as had originally been planned, possibly because of Triple H's RAW injury. PWInsider has some more information on the reasons behind WWE's recent releases. Michelle McCool-Alexander will be signing autographs in her hometown of Palatka, FL on Friday. WWE's Diva Search requirements include that the participants be born female.

WWE launched their Backlash website. WWE announced two ECW related DVD releases for this summer. SLAM has a look at some of WWE's latest DVD extras. The Source magazine has a cover story comparing hip hop to WWF, not WWE.

Ringside tickets for Shane Douglas's Hardcore Homecoming go on sale this Friday. Kevin Nash is being replaced by Sean Waltman on Friday's Border City Wrestling show. Friday's USA Xtreme Wrestling in Queens, NY will feature Sandman vs. Abdullah the Butcher. Buck Woodward has indy notes on NECW, WAR Wrestling, PWG and others. The Torch has mid week indy notes on Austin Aries, Tommy Dreamer, and the Jeff Peterson Cup.

TNA has an interview with Wildcat Chris Harris about steel cage matches, Lockdown and more. The University of Connecticut's Daily Campus has an editorial on last week's appearance by Warrior. Buff Bagwell appeared on MTV's I Want A Famous Face discussing his calf implant problems. SLAM has an article on the career of Kenny Jay as he'll be the first "enhancement talent" honored by the Cauliflower Alley Club at their annual gathering this week. Travis Hafner says he plans to buy some wrestling shirts after signing a $7 million guaranteed contract with the Cleveland Indians.
