Chris Candito (Chris Candido) passed away last night at age 33 from a blood clot resulting from his ankle surgery earlier this week. Candido's funeral will be held on Tuesday in Spring Lake, NJ. There are a couple Candido career retrospectives, as well as some comments from people who knew him. Lance Storm will be the guest on Sunday's LAW to discuss knowing and working with Chris Candido.

TNA included an end of show tribute to Chris Candido noting his passing yesterday. TNA posted an interview with Chris Candido from February about his career, joining TNA and Tammy. WWE.com also acknowledged Candido's death on their website, noting his work for WWE, WCW and ECW. Sonny Siaki is reportedly taking Candido's death hard.

UPN finished fourth in last night's overnight ratings ahead of FOX and WB. A graphic advertising John Cena vs. JBL in an I Quit Match aired during Smackdown in some places giving away the main event finish. Smackdown guest-jobber Mikey Whiplash wrestles regularly with All Star Wrestling. Smackdown will be replayed in New York City on Sunday due to the President's address last night. Smackdown was pre-empted in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX and will air tomorrow.

The Sun's Lilsboys wrote about the live RAW experience with a list of Christian's best quotes among other things. Ric Flair's son Reid Fliehr has a court date next month on charges of simple assault following his February post amateur wrestling-match altercation. Batista was signing autographs in Manchester, NH today as part of the build-up to Sunday's Backlash. WWE is using a pre-recorded message from Hulk Hogan as part of a telephone pitch for Backlash. USA Today carried a full page ad for Backlash today featuring Hulk Hogan.

The Tennessean has an article on Don West's appearance on Blue Collar TV due to his work as a TNA announcer. Monty Brown was not at the Impact tapings reportedly due to a contract dispute, and Sean Waltman may be done if they don't pay him the money he believes he's owed.

Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future will begin airing on inDemand PPV in the United States in June. 1950's wrestling-related film-noir/thriller Night and the City is showing at La Salle Bank Cinema in Chicago, IL.
