RAW scored a 4.1 rating, up from recent ratings due largely to the end of Monday Night Football, and ECW scored a 1.5 rating (2 Share) up from last week. WWE released many wrestlers today including Sylvester Terkay, Christopher W. Anderson, Jazz, Rodney Mack, Tony Marmaluke, Al Snow (as a wrestler, not a trainer), Gangrel, the Bashams and the Gymini. WWE signed Cassidy Riley and Ace Steel to developmental deals.

WWE cancelled their Royal Rumble press conference scheduled for Monday in San Antonio, TX. The Dayton Beach News Journal has speculation that Wrestlemania 24 may take place in Orlando, FL. The Miami Herald has an article on Miami native Layla El as she helped WWE kickoff their Wrestling Fan Axxess Tour there on Saturday. Connecticut's New Haven coliseum will be imploded this Saturday.

King Kong Bundy will appear and sign autographs at the Lakewood, NJ BlueClaws game on May 26.
