It was revealed late last night that Daniel Benoit may have been suffering from Fragile X syndrome, a genetic cause of mental retardation sometimes accompanied by autism and other symptoms. Daniel Benoit's condition has led to some speculation it may have been Chris Benoit's reason for killing him, not wanting to leave him alone, before he killed himself. Chris Benoit met with his doctor on Friday, hours before he killed Nancy, who said he didn't show signs of distress or rage. The latest AP article includes WWE lawyer Jerry McDevitt revealing Chris and Nancy Benoit argued over child care for Daniel, with Nancy wanting Chris home more to help take care of him.

Sports Illustrated posted a follow-up story to their story linking wrestlers to a steroid distribution ring a few months ago discussing Chris Benoit's connection and WWE's reaction. Dr. Drew Pinsky appeared on MSNBC's Scarborough Country yesterday discussing the role drugs could have played, even if they weren't currently being used. The Canadian Press ran an article on how steroid use can rewrite brain circuits as well as increase aggression and decreasing control.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has an article on the reaction of friends and neighbors to the Benoit situation. The Winnipeg Free Press has an article on Chris Benoit's popularity with fans and a 2003 appearance where he defended Canada against John Cena's comments. Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard was a guest on Cleveland, OH's WTAM 1100 discussing the Benoit story in detail.

The Torch republished Wade Keller's interview with Chris Benoit from 1995 about steroids, family pressure, and his hopes for the future. The Edmonton Sun spoke to a psychiatrist about what may have driven Chris Benoit to kill his family and the affect steroids may have had. The Washington Post has an article on USA and WWE's handling of television shows in the middle of breaking news about the Benoit situation. Chris Benoit's picture will appear on the cover of the next issue of People magazine.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal has an article on Nancy Benoit's life with comments from her first husband Jim Daus. FOX News has a story on the career of Nancy "Woman" Benoit with comments from ex-husband Kevin Sullivan. TMZ posted documents from Nancy Benoit's request in 2003 for a restraining order against Chris Benoit and for custody of their son Daniel. Debra Marshall, former WWE Diva and ex-wife of Steve Austin, spoke to My Fox Colorado about spousal abuse, steroid use, and parallels to her own situation with Steve Austin.

Vince McMahon will appear on the Today show tomorrow morning. CNBC noted WWE's stock decline as a result of the McMahon death storyline and real life Benoit family deaths. Amazon.com was using the Benoit situation to help sell Benoit DVDs, although they appear to have stopped now.

Bret Hart appeared on FOX News tonight discussing Chris Benoit, Benoit's surviving children, and steroid use. The Calgary Sun spoke to Bret Hart again who said he can't begin to understand what would drive Benoit to do this. Canada's Sports Net has a video interview with Bret Hart about Chris Benoit.

Houston, TX's KHOU interviewed King Booker about the murders, his memories of Chris Benoit, and steroids in wrestling. Brian Christopher appeared on Anderson Cooper 360 last night to discuss the wrestling industry and the rate of death among his peers. The Patriot Del Wilkes appeared on CNN's American Morning this morning discussing steroids, "roid rage", and the effect this may have on the wrestling industry. Former wrestler Ken Wayne appeared on MSNBC this afternoon discussing steroid testing and the reasons wrestlers take steroids. Joe "Animal" Laurinaitis appeared on MSNBC tonight discussing Chris Benoit, steroids and whether wrestlers should have time off.

The New York Times spoke to Christopher Nowinski who believes concussions and brain injuries may have played a part in Chris Benoit's actions, as well as Nancy Benoit's ex-husband Kevin Sullivan about his reaction to the news. Tampa Bay, FL's WTSP spoke to Lex Luger about Chris Benoit and steroids. Pennsylvania's Patriot News spoke to Steve Blackman about his memories of Chris Benoit. The Canadian Press interviewed Jacques Rougeau about the use of steroids in wrestling.
