WWE issued a press release on Monday's increased ratings for RAW as they build toward Summerslam. Last week's Smackdown topped the Nielsen ratings for Hispanic viewers. Smackdown vs. RAW did not win at last night's G-Phoria video game awards in the Best Sports Videogame of the Year category.

The results of Bobby Lashley's shoulder surgery are not yet clear, but he could be out three to five months WWE released developmental wrestler Tomasso Whitney who had been working in Ohio Valley Wrestling. The Miz is scheduled for the Autism Speaks Celebrity Softball Game on August 25.

Many cable companies are still running Jackass Summerslam ads. WWE 24/7's Judgment Day airing has Chris Benoit vs. MVP edited off. The RAW, Smackdown and ECW shows taped in Italy a few months ago will be released as a 2 DVD set in Europe. WWE gave away the result of John Morrison vs. CM Punk at the taping by revealing their match in the Summerslam line-up.

TNA's Hard Justice will be headlined by Sting/Andrew Martin/Abyss vs. Christian Cage/Tomko/AJ Styles in a Six Sides of Steel Doomsday match. Adam "Pacman" Jones and Jeff Jarrett appeared on ESPN's First Take discussing their meeting, Jones' problematic past, and plans for wrestling. Jones also disputed his arrest record saying he'd only been arrested twice, not six times.

Wrestling Weekly interviewed Dory Funk Jr. about his autobiography, his father, the Funkin' Dojo and more. James Guttman interviewed Bill DeMott about Debra Marshall's recent comments, Marc Mero, Deep South Wrestling and more. Road Warrior Animal issued a rebuttal to comments by John Heidenreich on a number of subjects.

Bobby Heenan will replace Gene Okerlund at the Legends of the Ring V convention on August 25 in Carteret, NJ due to Summerslam commitments. Tiny "Zeus" Lister also had to cancel his appearance at the Legends of the Ring V convention, and he's been replaced by Slick and Dangerous Danny Davis. SLAM has an article on the life and career of Mercedes "Princess Tona Tomah" Waukago who died earlier this summer at age 72. SLAM spoke to Abdullah the Butcher as he was in Lansdowne, ON promoting the SuperEx Showdown on August 23.
