WWE announced Umaga's release was due to a second Wellness Policy violation and refusal to go to rehab. WWE reportedly waited to announce the reason for Umaga's dismissal because it was the first time they had to deal with the issue and they had to determine how to proceed. WWE apparently didn't widely announce Umaga's first Wellness Policy violation when it happened.
